This post started last week as a conversation over beers with a good friend of mine. We wanted to figure out:
- What soft skills are important for game developers. In any position, from intern to CEO. Programmers and artists. Designers and animators. Everyone.
- How could we figure out the relative importance for those skills?
- How could someone use a self-evaluation to gain some insight into skills that are important for them to work on?
- How could we make that self-evaluation a less-random and totally arbitrary process?
After sharing his ideas and practices with me, I decided to make some adjustments and create my own.
